• Report compiled by the CDC in 2014 addressing key areas for future research on gun control as a public health issue, notable for stating that there are 2-3 million defensive firearm uses per year

Moral Philosophy

• An opinion piece exploring the issue of assisted suicide for Alzheimer’s patients

Polarization

• Quillette article that discusses how the Human brain dramatically reduces the complexity of a thought when it is stored and how the process doesn’t store context or supporting facts
• An Ezra Klein podcast discussing the impact and nature of identity politics in the 2016 election

Political Philosophy

• The Fable of the Bees is pre-Adam Smith argument that individuals acting in a self-interested way can create a healthy nation
• An interesting CMV Reddit post discussing whether Capitalism is responsible for the deaths of millions of people per year
• A fantastic deep-dive into the history of antitrust in the United States and how it relates to the company Amazon
• A Vox article discussing a public lawsuit alleging that generic drug manufacturers illegally conspired to fix prices and divide up the market
• Quillette article discussing how the desire to limit immigration is an almost-universal feature of humans
